- The purpose of this modification is to post the question submitted by an interested vendor as well as the Government's response. Questions and Answers - Round 1 12/7/2011 1.Of the items being shipped, are any of them classified as hazardous materials? If so, is the customer looking to also incorporate the capability of creating electronically validated shipping documents based on mode of transport for the Hazardous Materials to ensure regulatory compliance? These shipping documents would include Bill of Ladings, International Maritime Declarations of Dangerous Goods, Shippers Declarations of dangerous goods, FedEx and UPS specific Documents, MSDS, Emergency Response forms, Federal and International Permits and Letters, etc. A: Yes, hazardous materials are transported but at a very low frequency and very limited variety. No hazardous materials functionality enhancements are envisioned at this time. Additional capabilities for accommodating hazardous materials are not required.
