- Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Belvoir, VA intends to issue a sole source award to ITEQ Integrated Technologies, located at 8757 Georgia Ave Suite 500, Silver Spring, MD, 20910-3743, for a period of six months, from 1 January 2012 through 30 June 2012, for the daily operations and maintenance support services for the Zahl Physical Sciences Laboratory, (PSL) facility. ITEQ Integrated Technologies is the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The action is being processed in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B) only one responsible source, and solicited in accordance with FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, as the Government believes that there will be unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirement. A justification for sole source has been prepared in support of this acquisition, and market research has revealed that there is no other available source that can immediately fulfill the existing requirement outside of the currently performing contractor. Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Belvoir, VA., intends to procure services as required to fulfill the mission and need of the Zahl PSL facility. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 561210 for this requisition. ITEQ Integrated Technologies is considered a large business. This is not a request for competitive proposals. If you feel your firm can provide these services, please submit a capabilities statement by 12:00 PM EST, 8 December 2011. Any response to this notice must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. The Government reserves the right to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) as a result of this announcement. Please be advised that this announcement may constitute the only notice that will be posted for this acquisition, based on the review of any responses to this notice.
