- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 260 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ 07724 intends to enter into a contract on the basis of other than full and open competition for business, functional, and technical services to support the Veterans Affairs Innovation Initiative (VAi2). The TAC intends to award a sole source firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract to The District Communications Group (DC Group), 1391 Pennsylvania Avenue SE, Unit 469, Washington, DC 20003, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) pursuant to authority 38 U.S.C. 8127(c), Veterans First Contracting Program and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-5, "Authorized or required by statute." The services consist of the creation of an Annual Report that will highlight VAi2's various projects to include, but not limited to, the Veterans Business Administration (VBA) Employee Innovative Competition, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Employee Innovative Competition, Industry Innovative Competition, and special projects. VAi2 seeks to inform Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) leadership, Congress, and the general public about VAi2's work and the status of funded projects that can be accessed through three (3) forms of media: viewed and printed as a PDF document, viewed as an interactive website, and downloaded and used as a mobile application in Android and iOs platforms. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 541511. The estimated date of award for this action is December 31, 2011. This is a notice of intent and is not a request for competitive proposals.
