Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a NEW requirment. There is NOT a current contract or incumbent contractor. Description of Work. The Contractor shall provide the NON-PERSONAL SERVICES of one FULL-TIME Orthopedic Surgeon at Irwin Army Community Hospital (IACH), Fort Riley, KS. The physician must meet the requirements of Army regulations 40-66 and 40-68, as amended, for this facility. NOTE: There is one level of compensation regardless of when hours are worked (i.e., normal duty hours, weekends, evenings, on call, call-back, etc.). This contract is a NON-PERSONAL services contract under which the personnel rendering the services are not subject, either by the contract's terms or by the manner of its administration, to the supervision and control usually prevailing in relationships between the government and its employees. This NON-PERSONAL SERVICES contract requires the HCP to possess and maintain an active, current, valid, and otherwise unrestricted license issued by the state of Kansas to practice as a Orthopedic Surgeon for the length of service. A provider may have a license issued by a state or jurisdiction other than the state of Kansas, but this license alone is not sufficient. The contractor shall be required to carry malpractice insurance for its contract HCPs, at a level stated in the solicitation and included in any resulting contract for subject acquisition in tailored FAR Clause 52.237-7. If an apparent successful offeror, the contractor shall provide evidence of insurability concerning medical liability insurance prior to contract award.
