Description
Synopsis: The U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research Development and Engineering Center, in support of Large Area Maintenance Shelters Team, is conducting a market research investigation for commercial services to include labor for the erection and teardown of Large Area Maintenance Shelters (LAMS), which are erected worldwide, warehouse and inventory management, and consultation services. The contractor must provide trained personnel who can operate Material Handling Equipment and be physically capable of performing manual labor associated with erection and teardown of LAMS Shelters. Contractor shall be responsible for receiving government owned property and preparing same for shipment. The Contractor shall provide consulting services to facilitate Foreign Military Sales and assistance in working with PM managed projects. The Army is contemplating a firm fixed price (FFP) IDIQ contract. Interested sources shall include detailed information regarding their firm's experience, personnel, facilities and, and relevant company background/experience. Firms responding shall indicate whether or not they are a small business. This notice is for market research only. Responses will consist of an unclassified white paper. At a minimum, the white paper shall provide a description of the technical approach and a statement on the ability to meet the attached key attributes. Responses to this notice are to be sent to Rod McLean (Rod.McLean@us.army.mil), Melvin Jee (Melvin.Jee@us.army.mil) and Sean Auld (Sean.G.Auld@us.army.mil). This is not a request for quotations. No solicitation document exists. The information received under this announcement may be used by the Government for developing an acquisition strategy. Note: This notice is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Part (FAR) Part 10, Market Research and FAR Part 15, Exchanges with Industry before Receipt of Proposal. This notice serves as a Request for Information (RFI) in support of market research. All information received will be used for planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute an Invitation to Bid, a Request for Proposal, or a Request for Quote. The government will not award a contract based on this notice and will not reimburse respondents for any cost associated with responses to it. Note: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This request is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals, offers, bids, and/or quotes. This notice is not a confirmation that the Government will contract for the items contained in the RFI, nor is any commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract implied. The Government shall not pay and/or reimburse respondents and/or associates for any costs incurred to submit the requested information. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(c), response to this RFI is not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
