Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Interpark Holdings Incorporated for (8) covered parking spaces from 1/1/12 to 12/31/12, with three one-year option periods. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE IS AVAILABLE. Due to the job description of the EPA's criminal agents, they require close and ready access to their government vehicles. Covered parking is also required due to law enforcement vehicles having expensive law enforcement equipment installed. Having the vehicles out of sign helps to reduce any breaking and entering which can cause extensive damage to the vehicle as well as the equipment. As such, all parking lot accommodations for the Criminal Investigation Division must be located within close proximity (2 blocks or closer) of US EPA CID office space. OCEFT-CID Facility Standards also states: "Secure parking spaces are required for government owned or leased law enforcement vehicles. Access to the parking area is required at all times (24 hours per day). If parking cannot be provided on-site, it should be located within a two block radius of the office. Preference will be given to secured, covered, on-site parking." Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon the responses is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions should be directed to Trina Fisher via email to fisher.trina@epa.gov no later than December 19, 2011 at 4:00 PM EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
