Description
Syncrolift Notice Request for Information (RFI) U.S. Coast Guard Yard Syncrolift Ship Lift The United States Coast Guard Yard is requesting information on the availability of support services for its Syncrolift Ship Lift. The OEM of the Syncrolift is Rolls-Royce Naval Marine. The Coast Guard Yard is seeking sources which can provide the following support. 1. Annual Inspection and Certification of the Syncrolift: The Coast Guard seeks sources which can perform an annual or biannual inspection of all structural, mechanical, and electrical/electronic components of the Syncrolift. Contractors seeking to do this work must be able to provide the Coast Guard with a certification letter from a Professional Engineer that states the Synchrolift is safe to operate as designed, or identifies required repairs. 2. Software Support: The Coast Guard seeks sources that can support the ATLAS software system used on the Syncrolift. Sources should be able to troubleshoot software issues as well as be able to make code changes to the software if needed. Sources should also be able to provide software upgrades as they become available or are needed. 3. Replacement Part Support: The Coast Guard Yard seeks sources that can provide replacement parts support for the Syncrolift. All replacement parts must be of the same form, fit and function as the originals. The U.S. Coast Guard Yard does not possess the manufacturer's technical information, engineering drawings, test procedures, or test equipment for the Syncrolift. All of this material is the proprietary property of Rolls-Royce. Interested parties having the expertise and capabilities to meet any or all of the above requirements are invited to submit detailed information discussing their capabilities. Potential sources with the expertise and required capabilities to provide these services can submit such data discussing the same in duplicate within 5 days (COB on 12/16/2011 at 4pm EST) from the date of this announcement. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. No cost or pricing data is required. Responses may be faxed to Carrie Ward at (410) 762-6008 or provided by e-mail to Carolyn.Ward@uscg.mil. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION.
