- The U.S. Department of Energy, Energy Information Administration, Office of the Assistant Administration for Energy Analysis; intends to award a sole source contract to IHS Global Insight, Inc. for energy related data subscription services, access to energy models, energy modeling analysis, plus the option to procure additional data/analysis support. The Energy and Non-Energy subscriptions provide an extensive array of data and analysis covering economic activity in the U.S. and throughout the world. The proposed new contract will be for five (5) years with a twelve (12) month base period and four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available for this requirement. Interested parties should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement within seven calendar days of publication of this notice, to be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
