Description

The Buffalo VA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.5) with B-K Medical Systems, Inc., 250 Andover Street, Wilmington, MA 01887-1048, as the only source that can provide the B-K Medical ultrasound Convex Rectal Transducers at VA Medical Center. Specifically, the contractor shall provide all of the following: 2EA8808 CONVEX RECTAL TRANSDUCER (TO BE EXCHANGED) REALTIME SIMULTANEOUS IMAGINING FOR OPTIMAL LATERAL BIOPSIES, MFI 5 10MHZ (5,6,8, & 10MHZ) FOR MAXIUM IMAGE QUALITY & PENETRATION, 140 DEGREE FIELD OF VIEW FOR LARGER PROSTATE GLANDS, DISPOSABLE BIOPSY GUIDES 2EA8808 CONVEX RECTAL TRANSDUCER (NEW) REALTIME SIMULTANEOUS IMAGINING FOR OPTIMAL LATERAL BIOPSIES, MFI 5 10MHZ (5,6,8, & 10MHZ) FOR MAXIUM IMAGE QUALITY & PENETRATION, 140 DEGREE FIELD OF VIEW FOR LARGER PROSTATE GLANDS, DISPOSABLE BIOPSY GUIDES This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13.5). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334510 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition along with additional addenda. A statement regarding the applicability of the provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, is not applicable to this sole source acquisition.
