- Description
- The Army Contracting Command, National Capital Region, on behalf of the Chief Information Office (CIO)/G6 intends to award a sole source extension contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements," to Seidcon Inc., San Marcos, CA 92069. Seidcon, Inc. will provide support services including: IA System of Systems Network Vulnerability Assessments in support of Army Capability Sets; DoD NIPRNet De-Militarized Zone Program; Army/Marine Corps Command & Control/Situational Awareness Covergence; Tactical Public Key Infrastructure Development; Security Classification Guidance to Deployed Forces; Information Security Engineering Support (for reviewing IT/NSS & network security architectures supporting Army Capability Sets, completion of CTO 10-065, implementation guidance and the tasks associated with migration of internet facing applicatoins to DISA DMZs); Assessment of IA Tools; Recommendation of Security Technical Solutions & Policy Changes, Management of the Army Acquisition Strategy Review Process; and Developmental Assessments of IT/NSS. Awarded of the extension is needed to maintain continuity by obtaining services from the incumbent provider, as a follow-on action is procured. This extension of services is for continued provision of highly specialized IT and Information Assurance service support. A failure to continue these services or any unacceptable delays would harm the mission accomplishment, as they are critical to the customer. The incumbent, Seidcon, provides historical knowledge of the processes, risks, vulnerabilities, and collaboration of ongoing projects into the cyber integration mission. This action will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract extension. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no Request for Proposal available for competitive proposals. Phone calls WILL NOT be accepted. The Point of Contact of the Contract Specialist is included below. Interested parties may express their interest and provide a Capability Statement to the Contract Specialist via email at grant.i.njoku@us.army.mil no later than 17 December 2011 at 7:00 pm EST. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
