- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS This is a request for information only. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their categories (Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned Small Business, Hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, and large business) based on NAICS code 811219 (size standard $19.0 million). The Department of Veterans' Affairs, Miami VA Medical Center, located in Miami, Florida has equipment in its ophthalmic clinic that is no longer under warranty. To ensure the equipment remains in top operating condition and to address any breakdowns, we are considering obtaining service contract coverage. The service contact would apply to the following items originally purchased from Ophthalmic Imaging Systems. 1 Winstation WS5000 1 WinStation ICG (WS1500) 1 Symphony DICOM A service contract would need to provide for on-site maintenance, after-hours response coverage, preventive maintenance, loaner equipment during for lengthy repairs, and software updates. Interested parties are encouraged to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Providing a description of your experience in servicing equipment of this type and the sources for any parts employed in making repairs will aid in evaluating your response. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or a request for quotes and in no way indicates that the VA will award a future contract. VA personnel will consider all information received by 4:00 p.m. EST, December 22, 2011. Presently, no solicitation document is available. Spoken statements of interest will not be considered as responsive.
