- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for the construction of a new Access Control Point. The project will include a visitor control center, gatehouse, vehicle search area and search office guard booths, id check point canopy, vehicle inspection canopy, pedestrian bus stop shelter, and over watch booth. Work includes demolition of existing buildings, pavement, and utilities. New work includes the installation of traffic control barriers, 5 lane width entry lanes, turn-around lanes, traffic signals and signage, vehicle resistant security fencing with cable reinforcement, electronic and manual K rated active barriers, passive barriers, a backup generator, uninterruptible power system, site lighting, grading, new asphalt paved roadways, asphalt paved parking areas, concrete pavement, sidewalks, storm drainage, sanitary, natural gas, geothermal, interior and exterior power, communication, instruction detection systems, and fire detection systems. Anti-terrorism Force protection is required. Contract duration is estimated at 365 days. The estimated cost range is between $10,000,000.00 - $25,000,000.00. NAICS is 236220. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email 12-21-2011 by 12:00 Eastern Standard Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Entry Control points with multiple supporting buildings, police stations, access controlled visitor centers. b. Projects similar in size to this project include: Minimum 2500 Square feet in size. c. Projects similar in dollar value to this project include: $8,000,000 (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished.
