- Description
- Sole Source Justification The 36th Contracting Squadron at Andersen AFB, Guam intends to award a Sole Source contract to Cable & Wireless (Diego Garcia) Ltd. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for the pagers and messaging services for the island of Diego Garcia. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Cable & Wireless (Diego Garcia) Ltd. on a sole source basis due to proprietary information protected by copyright laws and compatibility with Government-owned equipment. This notice of intent will result is the issuance of a solicitation and does not serve as an invitation for bids or request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposal procurement action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. Opposition to this action must be submitted in writing by Friday, 16 December 2011, NLT 5:00PM (EST). Items to be awarded: 1) Message Pager Service 2) Pager Repairs 3) Pager Replacement 4) Additional Pagers as Required (2 units)
