- Description
- LMR Trunking Sys Sole Source Justification The 36th Contracting Squadron at Andersen AFB, Guam intends to award a Sole Source contract to Motorola, Inc., 7031 Gateway Drive 3rd Floor, Columbia, MD, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for the maintenance and repair of a Land Moblie Radio Trunking System for the island of Diego Garcia. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Motorola, Inc. on a sole source basis due to proprietary information protected by copyright laws and compatibility with Government-owned equipment. This notice of intent will not result in the issuance of a solicitation and does not serve as an invitation for bids or request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. Opposition to this action must be submitted in writing by Friday, 16 December 2011, NLT 5:00PM (EST).
