Additional Questions and Answers with security mesh installation 12/13/2011 Which walls will the security mesh be on? Answer: Permeter demmising walls & corridor walls. 2. Question: Where is this going? Answer: Above the ceiling. 3. Question: If the mesh is going to the deck, is there fireproofing that needs to be removed? Answer: Where necessary for mounting angle iron. 4. Question: If mes is going on top of existing metal walls that have celing tile and grid on top what will be the detail? Answer: Cut celing grid and attach to top of parition att angle iron etc. 5. Question: Confirm that we will be able to get to both side of any wall receiving mesh? Answer: Yes, but scheduling work with other agency's is necessary. 6. Question: Waht is the requirement for fastening mes to the structure? Answer: Driven Pins. 7. Question: What is the requirement for fastening mes to mesh? Answer: Steel pop rivets with fender washers both sides with angel iron on flat stock. 8. Question: Does mesh that surrounds utilities/ducts that penetrate the mes have to be framed with metal? If so what are the requirements. Answer: Angle iron on flat stock framed with steel pop rivets minammally every 16 inches. 9. Question: Is there a requirement for fasteners to attach the mesh? Answer: See Above
