Description
NAICS Code: 811310 Synopsis: General Services Administration on behalf of The Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (NAVSCOLEOD) is seeking information regarding the procurement of technical services to support training aid maintenance. This is a Request for Information (RFI) Only. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, at this time, GSA is not seeking proposals and will not accept any unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website (http://fbo.gov). It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Responses to this Sources Sought must be submitted in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice must include the following: a.) Company Name b.) Address c.) Point of Contact d.) Phone, fax, and email address e.) DUNS number h.) Type of business (small, large, SDVOSB, etc). i.) Does your company possess a General Service Administration (GSA) Contract for this service? If so, please list the contract number and expiration date. Scope of Work: The Contractor will be responsible for maintaining a total of nineteen (19) non-operational training aircraft (listed below). All paint, chemicals, lubricants, etc. will match original preventative maintenance and repair specifications for U.S. aircraft. 1) A6 one each 2) A/V 8 one each 3) A-10 two each 4) F-15 two each 5) F-16 two each 6) F-18 two each 7) MIG-21 one each 8) MIG-29 one each 9) C-131 one each 10) Cessna 172 two each 11) MI-24 one each 12) AH-1 three each Although the expectation is not to have the contractor to be as detailed in the cleaning and corrosion of the aircraft as NAVAIR requires for an operational aircraft, the expectation is for the contractor to apply basic corrosion control principles and use appropriate (designated or suitable substitute) Materials and application procedure, (i.e. no house paint or rollers, grease vise light oil (WD40) where appropriate.
