- THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only as defined in FAR 15.201(e) - it does not constitute a Request For Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in responding to the RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this sire for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The Naval Air Warfare Center, in support of the Counter Networks and Illicit Trafficking Program Office, is seeking information from industry for the procurement of two (2) tandem axle trailers to function as operation and maintenance shelters in support of the Government of Tunisia Scan Eagle TM Unmanned Air Vehicle fleet. One (1) operation and one (1) support trailer must be equipped with a heavy duty suspension, spare tire, a Kingpin and Pintle Hook Hitch and Stabilizer Jacks with the following layout and equipment: Operation Trailer: Rear fold down door; Side entry door with pull out steps; 9KW generator, built in, with 24 gallon fuel tank; Exterior access lighting (75W); Overhead fluorescent lighting; Two (2) workstations on one side, 30"depth, 8' each in length, 48" high from floor; Floor to ceiling height storage cabinets with shelving and lockable doors on opposite side forward half only (approx 8-12'); External battery backup; Load center panel; Transformer; HVAC 15,000 BTU w/ 5,000 heat, roof mount with optional wall heater; six (6) each data, phone and power outlets; Four (4) internal tie-down anchors; One (1) portable 3KW generator, diesel power, 2-man lift capable; One (1) HAZMAT Locker approx 72" high, 48" wide; and, Class 1,2,3 fire extinguisher. OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT: one (1) 20' pneumatic antenna mast installed on the operation trailer. Support Trailer: Rear fold down door; Side entry door with pull out steps; 9KW generator, built in, with 24 gallon fuel tank; Exterior access lighting (75W); Overhead fluorescent lighting; Roof access ladder; Two (2) workstations; External battery backup; Overhead cabinets; Load center panel; Transformer; Two (2) storage cabinets; HVAC 15,000 BTU w/ 5,000 heat, roof mount with optional wall heater; Roof platform for tripod mounted omni-directional dish with tie-downs; Eight (8) each data, phone and power outlets; Four (4) internal tie-down anchors; One (1) portable 3KW generator, diesel power, 2-man lift capable; and, Class 1,2,3 fire extinguisher. The submittal in response to this RFI should be provided on standard letter size 8-1/2 by 11 inch paper and shall reference N68335-12-RFI-0047. The font for text should be Times New Roman 12-point or larger. Submitted responses should be in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat Format. Responses are due no later than 30 December 2011, 16:00 EST. Responses shall be submitted via email only to Mr. Terrence Shearer at terrence.shearer@navy.mil. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing by email to the point of contact identified below. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY to identify sources and does not constitute a request for proposal. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The Navy has not made a commitment to procure any of the items discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought.
