- Dental Assistant Services - FCI Terminal Island - Market Research Questionnaire The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. The Government contemplates awarding a single indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The projected requirement is for the provision of Dental Assistant Services to be provided on-site for the general inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution located at Terminal Island, CA. The requirement will be for two (2) contract positions. The Dental Assistants will be required to hold a current license/registration issued by the state of California. The base year performance will be from the effective Date of Award through 12 months, with the Government's unilateral right to exercise up to four (4) one (1) year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621399 (Size Standard: $7.0 million). The requirement will be for an estimated 1440 sessions (a session being defined as one hour in duration) to be performed during each 12 month contract period for each Dental Assistant. Work hours will normally be scheduled weekly Monday thru Friday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., excluding Federal Holidays. Services will normally consist of an estimated 30 one-hour sessions being performed weekly for each position. A half-hour non-paid lunch break may be allowed during the work day. Final work schedules may be approved by the Contract Monitor or the Department Head. Market research is being conducted at this time for the purpose of determining interest and capability of potential sources currently available for this requirement. * Note - This announcement is for the purpose of obtaining source information only and is not a solicitation.
