Synopsis: This announcement is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format specified in FAR Subpart 12.603 "Streamlined solicitation for commercial items". Quotations are being requested in response to this notice, and announcement constitutes the only solicitation, as a formal solicitation will not be issued. 6. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ): This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions and clauses are consistent with those specified in Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-40. 7. This action is being set aside for small business participation, so certified small businesses need only submit quotations. 8. Bid Schedule/Statement of Work: SPECIFICATIONIndependence National Historical Park (INDE)Magnesium Chloride Pellets December 2011 1.Product: Magnesium Chloride Pellets, 50 lb. bag2.Minimum Quantity Guarantee: 20 pallets of 48 bags each = 960 bags3.Maximum Quantity: 44 pallets of 48 bags each = 2112 bags4.Specifications:a.Independence National Historical Park requires the purchase of bulk snow melting chemicals during the winter season for the purpose of melting snow and ice throughout the park. Invoices should be submitted to the National Park Service contact specified herein. Pricing should be consistent with that provided in Contractor's fixed price quote per bag. 6. Quotes should be submitted on company letterhead or stationary and must include the following information: (1) firm fixed price per bag, including an overall amount presuming the ordering of 960 50 lb. bags of magnesium chloride, (2) Company name, (3) complete contact information, (4) DUNS Number, (5) CAGE Code, or (6) payment terms and discounts offered for prompt payment (where applicable).
