- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.The solicitation number is RFQ-RT-12-00045 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-54. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811219 with a small business size standard of $7.00M.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2011-12-28 15:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Cincinnati, OH 45268 The Environmental Protection Agency requires the following items, Purchase Description Determined by Line Item, to the following: LI 001, The vendor shall provide all personnel, labor, supervision, material, parts, tools, equipment, expertise, and other necessary services to perform preventative maintenance and repair to the equipment listed herein.Preventative Maintenance (PM) - Scheduled checks and services (including, but not limited to, adjustments, cleaning, calibration, inspection, and equipment servicing) of installed equipment at intervals recommended by the manufacturer or standards within the industry to ensure proper and efficient operation with minimum breakdowns,deterioration, or other deficiencies.Preventative maintenance shall also include repairs or other actions taken to correct deficiencies discovered during preventative maintenance inspections.Repairs - The vendor shall repair all equipment listed herein, if necessary. Repairs may be accomplished by replacement or restoration of component parts or materials that have deteriorated, worn out, or failed and are unableto perform to the manufacturer's specifications.All necessary repair parts and materials for maintenance and repair of the equipment listed herein shall be furnished at no additional cost to the Government by the vendor. The vendor shall provide and install manufacturer's approved parts for repairs. Repair parts used by thevendor shall be warranted for one year. Item 1 (S/N 012999001) Sterilizer requires Ohio State certification - NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) traceable on-site calibration. Sterilizer must be calibrated in such a manner to allow waste to be safely and accurately sterilized before leaving the facility as refuse., 1, YR; Solicitation and Buy Attachments ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, Environmental Protection Agency intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction.
