- The project includes all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, supervision and incidentals necessary for the reconstruction of the Natural Bridge recreation area, Rogue Gorge viewpoint and Farewell Bend Snow park sites and miscellaneous upgrades at the Union Creek Campground and Farewell Bend Campground sites. Work includes but is not limited to the following for the basic requirement and two option items: • Demolition of signs, vault toilet structures, wheel stops, bollards, gates, concrete curb, asphaltic concrete, and a culvert. • Incidental survey, erosion and pollution control, testing and traffic control. • Clearing, grubbing, and disposing of vegetative materials. • Coordination and oversight for the installation of four Government furnished vault toilet buildings. • Excavation, embankment, and disposal of onsite material. • Importation and embankment of commercial source fill material. • Importation and embankment of crushed aggregate base and surface course material. • Underground conduit installation. • Pavement milling and cracking sealing. • Installation of paving geotextile. • Corrugated metal pipe installation. • Concrete curb and valley gutter construction. • Construction of hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement at parking and trail areas. • Construction of hot mix asphaltic concrete overlay at parking and trail areas. • Application of pavement markings on new and existing surfaces. • Construction of wheel stops, gates, and sign structures. • Installation of Government furnished interpretive signs. • Replacement of deck timbers at a trail bridge and an overlook structure. • Construction of snow pole brackets. • Application of paint to the exterior of an existing restroom building. • Other miscellaneous items as shown with the contract Drawings and Specifications. The project sites are located in Jackson County, Oregon, near the community of Prospect, on the High Cascades Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The sites may be reached by traveling from Medford OR at the intersection with Interstate 5, north on State Highway 62 approximately 52 miles to the Natural Bridge site on the left; one more mile to the Union Creek Campground site on the left; another 0.2 miles to the Rogue Gorge site on the left; and then 0.8 miles more to the Farewell Bend sites on the left and the right. Price Range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000Solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 12/29/2011. A bid bond of 20 percent is required. A payment bond (100 percent) and a performance bond (100 percent) will be required after award. Note: prospective awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base prior to award.
