- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Huntington District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement for hydrogen sulfide monitoring at five locations in the district. Please see the attached solicitation. This requirement is set aside 100% for small businesses. If the vendors are experiencing certificate problems provide them with the following: Website security and trusted certificate authorities have moved to the forefront with the introduction of Internet Explorer 7.0 (IE v7.0/v8.0). ASFI users who have adopted IE v7.0/v8.0 as their standard web browser may have noticed an IE alert stating our ASFI root certificate was not issued by a trusted certificate authority. This statement is somewhat misleading in that we incorporate the latest DoD root certificates on our ASFI website but IE v7.0/v8.0 does not "recognize" those certificates as trusted since they have not been installed into the web browser by the user. The instructions below will help resolve this security alert for our ASFI users when accessing the ASFI website. (1) Open Internet Explorer and go to the CA Certificate download page. (http://dodpki.c3pki.chamb.disa.mil/rootca.html) (2) Click the link called "Download Root CA 2 Certificate". A popup will appear. (3) Click "Open". The Certificate Window will appear. (4) In the left frame, open the subfolders until you see the "Certificates" folder. The frame on the right will display a list of certificates. (5) Double-click on the "DoD Root CA 2" certificate. You'll probably see two of them, so double-click the first one. A popup will appear. (6) Click the "Install Certificate..." button. The Certificate Import Wizard will open. (7) Select the "Place all certificates in the following store" and click "Browse". (8) Choose "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" and click "Ok". (9) Click "Next" and "Finish". (10) Click the next two "Ok" buttons and close the Certificates window.
