- The Marine Corps Logistics Command Contracts Department (Code S1924) intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed contract on a sole-source basis to Savage Range Systems, Inc. of Westfield, MA, for the requirement described below. No other product is acceptable due to unique features and function of the items. The Government physically does not have in its possession sufficient data, or the rights to same data, for the manufacture of this requirement. Any source interested may contact the person(s) indicated to be considered for award. No solicitation will be posted on this website for the requirement. (1) National Stock Number(s) - None assigned. CLIN 0001: Snail Trap, Model 850 24 x 24 , (1 Each) CLIN 0002: Snail Trap, Model 850 60 x 50 , (1 Each) (2) Specifications Custom designed to fit the shooting tube and impact chamber of the function firing range located at Marine Corps Logistic Base, Bldg., Albany, GA. Must contain a wet bullet recovery system consisting of a shallow angle entrance ramp of 12 degrees or less sprayed with a proprietary lubricating liquid. System to be constructed with spray bar, circular deceleration chamber with low angle ramps developed to continuously mine the trap with an automatic bullet recovery system where spent rounds are deposited in a container for easy recycling without impacting range availability. (3) Manufacturer Savage Range Systems, Inc. (CAGE 1T8M8) (4) Destination - Maintenance Center, Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA 31704 (5) Award Procedures - The Government anticipates the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract under the simplified acquisition threshold. The estimated award date is 20 December 2011.
