- The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) intends to release a solicitation for logistics data services to IHS Global Inc. 15 Inverness Way Englewood, CO 80112-5776. IHS is the only firm with the data necessary to satisfy NAVFAC ™s requirement. The requirement consists of: 1. parts information (i.e. NSN, NICN to NIIN, nomenclature, part number, CAGE code, manufacturing information, pricing information, MRIL, past contract award information, technical characteristics); 2. all active Military Specifications and Standards, Federal Specifications and Standards, Performance and Detail Specifications, (CIDs) Commercial Item Descriptions, (QPLs), Qualified Products Lists, (QMLs) Qualified Manufacturer Lists, Military Handbooks, Military Bulletins, MS Drawings, AND/ANA.AN Drawings, USAF and NAF Standards, DSCC/DESC/SMD Drawings, (DIDs) Data Item Descriptions, and (FIPs) Federal Information Processing Standards; 3. all historical Military Specifications and Standards, Federal Specifications and Standards, Performance and Detail Specifications, (CIDs) Commercial Item Descriptions, (QPLs), Qualified Products Lists, (QMLs) Qualified Manufacturer Lists, Military Handbooks, Military Bulletins, MS Drawings, AND/ANA.AN Drawings, USAF and NAF Standards, DSCC/DESC/SMD Drawings, (DIDs) Data Item Descriptions, and (FIPs) Federal Information Processing Standards; 4. active and historical Naval instructions and directives from BUMED, BUPERS/OCPM, NAV AIR, OPNAV, SECNA, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, NAVSEA/NAVORD/ NAVSHIPS, NAVSUP, NAVCOMPT, NAVCOMTELCOM, JAG, CNET, DPS and ONR; 5. all active and historical DoD directives; 6. APL/AEL database, with the following queries: Match part number with APLs/AELs, and vice versa; Match part number with craft; 7. commercial specifications and standards. The anticipated period of performance is 2 January 2012 to 2 January 2015. Under the authority of FAR 6.302, NAVFAC intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement, or submitting proposals, to Michael.fanizzo@navy.mil. This synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals; however, NAVFAC will consider responses/ proposals received within 14 days of this synopsis. The determination whether or not to compete this requirement is solely within NAVFAC ™s discretion. NAVFAC will only consider information received for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
