Description
This presolicitation synopsis was previously posted under SPRBL1-11-R-0053. SPRBL1-11-R-0053 was modified to reflect the new solicitation number of SPRBL1-12-Q-0032 which is a five (5) year Indefinite Delivery Purchase Order with a maximum ceiling of $150,000. The DLA Land at Aberdeen Contracting Center is planning the release of a solicitation for the acquisition of Gear Assemblies, Speed Reducer, NSN: 3010-01-235-1879, in accordance with government owned drawing C5078302-1. It is anticipated that the release of the solicitation will be on or about 15 December 2011, with proposals due approximately 30 days later. The Government will make available, upon email request to the Contract Specialist, the drawings for this item before the release of the solicitation with the purpose of clarifying any questions that prospective contractors may have regarding alternate materials. The Government will to accept gear assemblies manufactured using materials other than materials identified, on the technical drawing as approved by CECOM. Contractor's who offer materials other than those identified on the drawing, must provide proof, in writing that the materials proposed will meet or exceed this item's functional, physical, and performance specifications that are outlined in the configuration baseline, drawing C5078302-1. The Government requires that items meet form, fit, function (F3) and interface requirements necessary for the item to operate successfully in the Antennae Mast Group (AMG) of the Patriot Missile Defense System. The Government encourages contractors who interested in proposing alternate materials to request a pre-solicitation brief. This acquisition requires that the contractor comply with higher-level contract quality requirement American National Standard, Quality Management Systems - Requirements, ANSI/ISO/ASQ(E) Q9001-2008. Contractor and Government First Article Testing will also be required, unless waived by CECOM. The proposed procurement will be an five year Indefinite Delivery Purchase Order (IDPO) with no option years. A guarantee will be given for the first delivery only. No guarantee will be given for the remaining years of the contract. The guaranteed minimum will be for 20 each of NSN 3010-01-235-1879. The proposed IDPO long term purchase order will have a maximum of $150,000. The destination for production quantity will be the Defense Distribution Depot located in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, DODAAC: W25G1U. The solicitation is projected for release on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. All parties interested in doing business with Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) (ACC - APG (C4ISR)) and DLA Land at Aberdeen are invited to access the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi?ASFI_FAQ.cfm Upon accessing this web page, look for the tab titled "ASFI for Industry". Under the "ASFI for Industry" tab you will be able to: check for business opportunities by clicking on the Contract Opportunities Search link, receive notifications by clicking on the Vendor Notification Service link. Vendor cannot submit responses via the Vendor Bid History. Vendors can only view "high level" information regarding the response. No registration is needed for the Vendor to browse for business opportunities. For the Vendor to receive notifications he merely needs to provide company Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code and E-Mail address. To submit a response the Vendor must provide the CAGE Code and Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN). Your company must be registered and current in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to submit bids/proposals on ASFI. Please be advised that hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. You must download solicitation documents from the ASFI.
