Description
SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/SYNOPSIS. This is a sources sought synopsis in support of market research being conducted by the USCG C3CEN to determine interest and capabilities of potential sources. This synopsis is for informational planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, or a commitment on the part of the government to later publish a solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government in any way as to its ultimate approach. The USCG, Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4IT) Service Center, Acquisition Office located at USCG Command and Control Engineering Center (C3CEN), Portsmouth, VA is seeking potential sources to provide information on single unit HF receiver matrix switches with various quantity input and output BNC coaxial connectors. The matrix switches will replace existing switches and provide standardization. The existing HF receiver antenna matrix is a solid-state switching system developed by Matrix Systems Corporation. Designed for versatility and high performance signal switching, the system utilizes the full spectrum of components available to achieve the switching and control of HF signals received on various HF antennae. The system is intended to switch low level single-ended coaxial signals in a matrix array configuration. Input and output signals are patched together in random order, either under the computer or front panel control. The input and output BNC connectors are located on the rear of the unit for ease of connection. The matrix utilizes a coaxial non-blocking full fan out switching configuration. The matrix minimum requirements/specifications are below and shall meet or exceed the existing equipment requirements listed in the attachment: Requirements: Sources Sought Replacement Matrix Minimum Requirements/specifications Hot swap power modules Improved switching technology Increased options for control (Ethernet 10/100BaseT) Improved over current protection All signal connections at rear panel Expanded memory capacity (increased number of configurations storable to 99) Flash Memory Front panel VF illuminated display Error recording self test Size/Dimensions: Equipment shall not exceed 10RU, 19-inch rack mount and 21-inches depth. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). Firms responding to this announcement should include a capability statement, catalog information (ex: specs, diagrams, commercial price lists), brochures, approximate lead- time for the product, warranty terms, company name, cage code, address, point of contact (POC), telephone number, size standard (small business, 8(a) concern, veteran- owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, emergent business, women-owned small business or large business), number of employees and foreign or US owned/manufactured. All interested parties must be registered in CCR. Applicable NAICS Code is 334220. The Government reserves the right to or not to set-aside any subsequent acquisitions based upon known sources and/or responses to this sources sought synopsis. Responses shall be no more than 10 pages and can include a checklist format. The government will not reimburse the costs of preparing or submitting a response to this synopsis. Any information submitted in response to this sources sought is strictly voluntary. Responses are due no later than Monday, 16 January 2012 at 4:00 p m (Eastern Standard Time) and may be e-mailed (preferred) to Cheryl.r.ellis@uscg.mil or mailed to Commanding Officer, USCG, Command, Control and Communication (C3CEN), 4000 Coast Guard Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23703, Attn: Cheryl Ellis, Contracting Officer and must be received by the response due date. Please direct any questions or responses to this synopsis to Cheryl Ellis via e-mail. NO VERBAL QUESTIONS/REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
