- The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to award a firm fixed price contract for the distribution and supply of radiopharmaceuticals to the Salem, Virginia, Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Delivery of radiopharmaceuticals will be made to the Salem VA Medical Center, located at 1970 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, VA 24153. The period of performance is January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012. Contractor and all sub-contractors shall be licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and be regularly established in the business of providing radiopharmaceuticals. Offerors shall provide copies of licenses and certifications along with the offer. The medical center anticipates requiring 45 deliveries per month. The contractor shall furnish radiopharmaceuticals, and any other required system components during the entire contract period, from 01/01/2012-12/31/2012 in strict accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions and specification of this solicitation. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 325412. Small business size is 750 employees. The VA anticipates issuing a solicitation for this requirement via FedBizOps (www.fbo.gov) on or about December 15, 2011, with a closing date for proposals on or about December 21, 2011. All responsible parties may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
