- Bartram Island Cell A is an existing 210-acre dredged material management area that requires the dikes to be raised to increase capacity. The borrow areas are located on Bartram Island. Bartram Island is accessible only by water from the St. Johns River. Base work includes raising and/or widening approximately 7,300 linear feet of exterior dike from 37 feet to 47 feet (potentially up to 55 feet), raising and/or widening approximately 4,300 linear feet of exterior dike from approximately 30 feet to 37 feet, constructing approximately 2,700 linear feet of interior cross-dike from approximately 29 feet to 47 feet (potentially up to 55 feet), removing five existing weirs and associated structures, fabricating and installing four new box riser weirs with HDPE culverts and associated structures, dewatering, super saturated silts or unsatisfactory soils removal and re-establishing vegetation on dike slopes. Work is located on Bartram Island in the St. Johns River, City of Jacksonville in Duval County, Florida. Work also includes turbidity monitoring, endangered species monitoring, sensitive wetland protection and monitoring, and incidental work. Options include the installation of a drainage blanket along the exterior slope toe of dike, installation of an underdrain system, installation of additional geosynthetic reinforcement, and excavation/fill of additional dike raising material. Optional work also includes potential, riser weir extensions and the inclusion of a floating dock to access the St. Johns River. Proposal Requirements: Award will be made to the Offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical merit, past performance, and price. The magnitude of construction for this project is estimated to be between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00. Performance period is approximately 608 days. THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
