- SUMMARY OF WORK PART 1 GENERAL 1.1 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS 1.1.1 Project Description At Fort Benning, Georgia, construct a standard Basic Training Barrack and Supporting Facilities as detailed in the furnished plans and specifications. Supporting facilities include utilities, paving, walks, IDS, EMCS, information systems, AT/FP, storm drainage, and site improvements. 1.1.2 Subgrade Preparation: The location proposed for the fifth Barracks (Phase III) building has already been cleared, graded, and a building pad has been constructed to rough elevations and dimensions for the building as part of the previous phases of construction. Phase III Contractor must verify that the site preparation is adequate by conducting additional geotechnical investigations as necessary. Phase III Contractor will be required to do excavation/backfilling for footings (foundations), utilities, etc. as a part of the barracks construction, and ensuring that soil is adequately compacted for placing concrete for the footings. Special notice: All proposals must be submitted electronically per the solicitation requirements. Technical questions must be submitted to PROJNET. BID Key is in the Solicitation documents. Submit the Price and Technical proposals electronically via the AMRDEC SAFE website at: https://safe.amrdec.army.mil/SAFE2/Welcome.aspx. At the AMRDEC SAFE website select the link: I do not have a CAC or this machine is not configured to read my CAC and I would like to access SAFE as a Guest User, to register, access the site and submit your proposal(s). When completing the information for transmittal at the AMRDEC SAFE website, notification should be submitted to: Robert M. Duran, email: robert.m.duran@usace.army.mil; and, email: derek.a.gadberry@usace.army.mil. Interested vendors were added to the AMRDEC SAFE Site and were notified the solicitation is available at that site. No documents will be posted to FEDBIZOPS.
