- Supplies: The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, Alabama intends to award a contract for U.S. manufactured steel plates and structural steel shapes as itemized below (note: final list and quantities will be in the solicitation). The steel plates and steel shapes will be used to fabricate two (2) steel control buildings by another contractor. Compliance with applicable ASTM and industry standards will be specified in the solicitation. All items required under the resultant award will be picked up at origin; delivery of the items will not be required. NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 331111; the applicable size standard is 1,000 employees. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is: 3 January 2012; please note this date is subject to change. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.This acquisition is conducted under Commercial Item Simplified Acquisition Procedures specified in FAR part 13.5; the resultant contract will be firm-fixed price. Offeror must be enrolled in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for award. To be eligible for award, the offeror shall provide evidence they can meet the manufacturing schedule specified to enable pick-up of items by the specified date in the solicitation. This procurement is unrestricted. The solicitation and amendments (if any) will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi and to the Federal Business Opportunities website, https://www.fbo.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. Telephone requests or e-mail requests for a copy of the solicitation will not be honored.
