- The Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Small Business Program office is offering small businesses an opportunity to attend a Small Business Training Presentation to be held at King Auditorium, Hurlburt Field, FL on January 24, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This presentation will provide information on getting started and registered to be eligible for Government contract award, solicitation processes used by AFSOC contracting agencies, and Air Force Commodity Council streamlined contract vehicles. Attendance is free. Registration is MANDATORY for base access. Registration must be made by 1:00 p.m. (CST) on January 19, 2012. To register, please contact the AFSOC Small Business Program office at 850-884-2376 or email AFSOC.SBP@hurlburt.af.mil. Provide the name of each attendee, company name and address, and contact information of each attendee (phone number and email address). Driving Directions: From I-10 Westbound: * From I-10W, take Exit 56 to Hwy 85 South * Follow Hwy 85 South to SR-123 South (approximately 11 miles) * Turn right on SR-123 South * Follow SR-123 South to Hwy 85 South (approximately 5 miles) * Bear right onto Hwy 85 South * Turn right on General Robert M Bond Blvd * Bear right onto SR-189 South / Lewis Turner Blvd (changes to N Beal Pkwy) (approximately 6 miles) * Turn right on SR-393 South / Mary Esther Blvd * Follow Mary Esther Blvd to Hwy 98 West (approximately 2 miles) * Turn right on Hwy 98 West (approximately 3 miles) * Turn right at Hurlburt Field Gate From I-10 Eastbound: * From I-10E, take Exit 31 to Hwy 87 South * Follow Hwy 87 South to Hwy 98 East (approximately 19 miles) * Turn left on Hwy 98 East (approximately 10 miles) * Turn left at Hurlburt Field Gate Once Base Access is granted at Visitor Center: * Go straight through two traffic lights * After second traffic light, turn into the parking lot on the right * King Auditorium is located at the far end of the parking lot (old theater between the Commando Pride Airman Center and the Bowling Alley) Lodging Information: There are a number of quality hotels in the area. We have not contracted with any hotels for this event, so rates and availability are not guaranteed. A number of hotels can be easily located on the web. Search within Navarre, Florida or Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
