- Description
- The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the dry-dock repairs to USCGC DORADO (WPB-87306). The Coast Guard intends to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. In accordance with FAR 52.232-18, the contract will be subject to the availability of appropriated funds. This procurement will be a Small Business (SB) set aside. All responsible SB concerns may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the U.S. Coast Guard. The small business size standard for NAICS 336611 is less than 1,000 employees. The solicitation will be issued electronically as a Best Value Request for Quotation (RFQ) on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) web page at http://www.fbo.gov on or about December 16, 2011 with quotes due on or about January 6, 2012. This commercial item requirement is set-aside for SB concerns and will be evaluated where as Past Performance is more important than Price. The home pier of the vessel is located at 100 Anchor Way, Crescent City, CA 95531. The vessel is geographically restricted to the United States West Coast, Columbia River and South. The Period of performance is forty-five (45) calendar days from on or about February 22, 2012 through April 6, 2012. The contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment necessary for dry-dock repairs to the USCGC DORADO (WPB-87306). The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC DORADO (WPB-87306). This work will include, but is not limited to: 1. Main Engine/Reduction Gear, Realign 9. Propulsion Shafts, Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall 10. Propulsion Shaft, Repair 11. Propulsion Shaft, Straighten 12.
