- STATEMENT OF WORK This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number H92240-12-ENGINES is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This is a simplified acquisition and the resulting contract will be firm fixed price. This acquisition is being conducted with commercial procedures as outlined at FAR Part 12. This is a local area set aside competed action with F.O.B. Government Pick-up. Responsible businesses shall be located within a one-hundred (100) mile radius of Red House, WV 25168. The applicable associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333618 with a small business class size of 1000 employees. Description of items required: rebuild quantity two (2) Caterpillar C-7 class diesel engines to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) tolerances and performance capability. See attached statement of work document. All responsible businesses may submit a quote that shall be considered. Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award. The website address for CCR is www.ccr.gov. Submit inquires and quotations to Contract Specialist, Ms. Kristen Smith via e-mail: kristen.smith@navsoc.socom.mil. All quotes must be received no later than closing date: 27 DEC 2011 12:00 PM PST. No extensions will be granted.
