Description
Industry Day Directions and Requirements Pre-solicitation Notice- Solicitation Number SAQMMA-12-R-0012 will be issued on or about March 01, 2012. The Department of State has a need for a contractor to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for the Baghdad Embassy Compound (BEC) in Iraq. The services include but are not limited to:  Electrical Generation and Distribution;  Heating Air Conditioning and Ventilation (HVAC);  Water Supply, Purification and Distribution;  Fire Alarm and Suppression System;  Complete Sanitary Sewer and Waste Water Treatment Plant;  Elevator Maintenance;  Fuel Storage and Distribution for generators and gas/diesel station;  Refuse and HAZMAT removal;  Grounds maintenance;  Facilities maintenance;  Swimming pool maintenance;  Structural inspections and repairs. The Baghdad Embassy Compound (BEC) is located in the heart of Baghdad, IRAQ adjacent to the Tigris River, within the International Zone (formerly known as the Green Zone). It consists of 38 buildings, one service station and 16 guard towers on approximately 104 acres with three primary sites as follows: 1) BEC, 2) Diplomatic Security Man Camp (Camp Condor), and 3) East End. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561210. This will be an Unrestricted Procurement. St NW, Washington DC RFP Release (on or about) March 01, 2012 Site Survey/pre-Proposal Conference TBD American Embassy, Baghdad Iraq Contract Award August 31, 2012 Contractor Fully Deployed November 01, 2012 PLEASE BE ADVISED THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY COST AND/OR RISKS INCURRED BY ANY VENDOR DECIDING TO ATTEND THIS CONFERENCE NOR SHALL THE COST BE REIMBURSED AS PRE-PROPOSAL COSTS.
