Description
The US Army Contracting Command New Jersey is seeking product information on state of the art Electro-Optical Boresight Systems for performing and checking basic weapon to sight alignment on the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS). Interested companies are invited to come to Picatinny Arsenal, NJ to demonstrate the capabilities of their Electro-Optical Boresight Systems to the U.S. Government. Interested parties are to bring their boresight equipment and demonstrate the capabilities of their system. Interested parties will need to bring all necessary equipment that their system needs to function properly. The U.S. Government will provide a hard stand CROWS system, a weapon (demiled M2), and a mandrel if needed. For the weapon, the U.S. Government will have a 50mm mandrel and also a 7.62 mm mandrel adapter that can be attached to the boresight device if applicable (drawings can be provided upon request). The U.S. Government plans to contact interested parties to schedule one-on-one meetings at Picatinny Arsenal. This Sources Sought Notice / Market Survey is a Request for Information (RFI) Only and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment by the U.S. Government. The US Government plans to use this effort for educational purposes ONLY. The US Government does not currently intend to award a contract on the basis of this demonstration. All expenses related to the demonstration are at the expense of the vendor and are at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published and more detailed technical requirements will be provided. Respondents will not be evaluated on this demonstration for any future requirements. Interested companies that have not already responded to sources sought notice W15QKN-11-X-F017, please include answers to the following questions with your response: Vendor Questionnaire: Electro-Optical Boresight System for CROWS. The purpose of this questionnaire is to obtain information from industry to assist in the market research. Government encourages all interested vendors to submit any comments that they might have. 1.
