- Description
- The Defense Logistics Agency will be issuing a solicitation for a follow-on corporate contract with Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems (MABS). The current corporate contract SPM4AX07D9006 covers only CAGE 0B9R9. The follow-on will cover all consumable and depot-level repairable NSNs that are sole source to CAGEs 0B9R9, 21849, and K0137, will contain approximately 1100 NSNs,and will be valued at approximately $225,000,000.00. Some of the newly covered NSNs on this project have been purchased from small businesses over the past three years. Therefore, the Contracting Officer has concluded this requirement meets the definition of a significant bundling of contract requirements. He has further concluded the bundling is necessary and justified by measurably substantial benefits exceeding 5% of the contract value, in terms of inventory savings, administrative savings, and material cost avoidance.
