- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial supply, Bulk Steam Sterilizing Unit (quantity of 2) for Lakenheath AFB (England), APO, AE, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This requirement is being solicited as full and open due to the required installation services and location. A firm fixed price purchase order will be awarded. This requirement is categorized under NAICS: 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies manufacturing. This requirement is for a Brand Name (Steris) or Equal. In accordance with FAR clause 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal, in order for or equal offers to be considered for award, offerors must: 1) Meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics specified in this solicitation; 2) clearly identify the item by brand name and make/model/part number; 3) Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, brochures, and/or drawings; 4) The contracting officer will evaluate "or equal" products on the basis of information furnished by the offeror or identified in the offer. The contracting officer is not responsible for locating or obtaining information not identified in the offer. 5) Unless the offeror clearly indicates in its offer that the product being offered is an "equal" product, the offeror shall provide the brand name product referenced in the solicitation. In accordance with FAR clause 52.212-4(g), Contract Award. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without dicussions with offerors. The Department of the Army, Healthcare Acquisition Activity- North has a requirement to purchase: -Steam Sterilizer- Amsco Centrury Medium Prevacuum Steam Sterilizer, Installed size 26X37.5X60 (chamber must be 60" in depth single door), Single Door, Left hand hinge, 208/240V, 50/60Hz 3 Phase, recessed. -Shall provide the following processing cycles: Pre-vacuum (270C & 275 with 5 & 20 minute dry phases, Gravity, liquid & test cycles as well as SFPP. -Shall conform to UL, CSA, ASME code and AAMI ST8 standards. -Shall possess software calibration, steam purge, light DIN connectors and Resistive Thermal Detector for maintenance accessibility. - Shall have touch-screen interface and an ink type printer. Contractor shall be responsible for shipping to APO, AE 09461 and delivery to the building/room (offloading) of the unit. This includes offloading, uncrating, checking and positioning of all equipment, disconnection and removal of the existing sterilizer, completion of all mechanical connections of the new equipment and accessories, and upon completion a full operational test of each unit shall be conducted and successful. Both units shall have stainless steel surounds to cover 5m x 2.7m openings. The contractor shall complete the installation of two 3 phase power supplies to include all materials and labor, and materials and labor for the electrical connection of the 2 sterilizers. The Government anticipates that the Contractor shall require site visits prior to delivery to determine installation issues. All costs associated with the above shall be reflected separately in the contractor's proposal and be labeled clearly so that the Contracting Officer can determine that all the requirements are or are not being met. Shipping shall be FOB destination and included in your quote, and delivery is to be completed 4-8 weeks are the receipt of the award.
