- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Greats Lakes Acquisition Center is looking for Architect/Engineer (AE) firms certified in the following categories: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), and/or Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB.) for A/E Design Services at the James A. Lovell FHCC l, North Chicago, Illinois. Work to include, but is not limited to: Provide professional services necessary for the design of various in-house and nonrecurring maintenance construction projects at the James A. Lovell FHCC that are multi-discipline engineering in nature (i.e., mechanical, electrical, architectural, civil structural, etc.) including, but not limited to, the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and miscellaneous reports. Services shall be provided for one (1) year, with the option to extend two (2) additional years for multi-discipline engineering consultant services. For any one project, a Task Order will be issued not to exceed $250,000, and the total cumulative contract amount for Task Orders shall not exceed a maximum of $990,000.00. Finally, the awarded firm is expected to meet the requirements in FAR clause 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting (DEC 1996) and compliance will be monitored throughout contract performance. The area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 100-mile radius of the James A. Lovell FHCC l, North Chicago, Illinois. Responses should include detail of experience in mechanical, electrical, architectural, civil structural, etc. of a similar size and scope, how your firm will meet Limitations on Subcontracting requirement, name and phone number of a point of contact in case further information is needed.
