- The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Surface Enhancements Technologies, 3929 Virginia Ave, Cincinnati OH 45227, Cage Code: (3AV35) on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other suppliers or services will satisfy agency requirements. Market research has determined this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required items. The AV8 Fleet Support Team, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for remanufacture of F402 LPC1 Disks for the F402-RR-408B Engine using a Low Plasticity Burnishing Process detailed in US Patents (5,826,453), (6,415,486) and (6,622,570), designed to reduce engine failures by improving fatigue tolerance, which are owned by Surfacement Enhancement Technologies. The approximate quantity required to fulfill the Government ™s requirement is three hundred one (301) each. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining to conduct a competitive procurement.
