- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement for modified aircraft install wiring harnesses for the Fuel Quantity Indicator Systems (FQIS) and intends to award a sole source contract to AMETEK, Inc., 9901 Southern Creek Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73165. The authority for Other Than Full and Open Competition is FAR 6.302-1, 'Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements.' AMETEK FQIS was competitively procured for the E-6B fleet as mandated by SAFR 88. Additional quantities are needed based on design changes from the prototype install for the modified tank wiring to maintain the fleet. Purchase will provide the final pieces of material required to field and support the FQIS as integrated into the E-6B. Award to any other source would result in a duplication of cost. A Solicitation Document is not available at this time. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation to Tyesha Parker at tyesha.parker@navy.mil which shall be considered by the agency. If no responses are received within fifteen (15) days, a contract may be awarded without further notice.
