- The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 541330. The Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to issue a request for proposal for a three (3) month period of performance modification extension and ceiling increase to contract N63394-11-C-1241 with New Directions Technologies, Inc., 137 Drummond Avenue, Ridgecrest, California 93555 for Information Technology (IT) Systems And Computer Operations, Maintenance Support Services. The modification will be issued on a sole-source basis to New Directions Technologies, Inc. in the interest of economy, efficiency and continuity of services pending award of the competitive procurement, which is being procured through the SeaPort-e Multiple Award Contract. New Directions Technologies, Inc. is the only contractor who can technically and functionally continue this critically needed support without any disruption of service. No other contractor can perform these services for the proposed performance duration without a transition period. The anticipated date of modification issuance is 29 February 2012. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
