- The US Forest Service contemplates posting the solicitation AG-0116-S-12-0017 Early Bird Pre-commercial Thinning on the Federal Business Opportunity website on or about January 3, 2012. We reserve the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. Provide services for pre-commercial tree thinning of 315 acres of young growth timber in stands located on the Tongass National Forest; Sitka Ranger District. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, and supplies, except those designated as government furnished. This contract will have six items and will be administered by the Sitka Ranger District. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies and perform all work required to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and provisions of the contract. OBTAINING A SOLICITATION. Prospective bidders are expected to obtain the solicitation from the Internet. REGISTRATIONS. In order to receive any contract award, a vendor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
