- Description
- The work shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, tools, supplies, repair parts, oil, grease, fuel filters, air filters, oil filters, hoses, seal kits, all associated hardware, etc., to perform timely and effective preventive maintenance (PM) every three (3) months or 250 operating hours, and remedial service calls and repair service as needed. The contractor shall be required to perform load tests on all forklifts annually under a service call. A full-time covered space for repairs or PMs will not be provided to the contractor. In the event of inclement weather, a covered area can temporarily be made available to facilitate repair or PM service on designated equipment. In no case will Government real property (land, structures) be provided to the contractor. Electric power will be made available to the contractor for preventive and remedial repair services. The contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal, State and installation Fire, Safety, Security and Environmental Protection Regulations. All repairs, preventative maintenance services, and remedial services shall be made in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manual. This is a bio-based "green" requirement in accordance with Section 9002 of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (FSRIA), Executive Order 13423, "Strengthening Federal Environemtal, Energy, and Transportation Management" the the Federal Acquisition Regulation to use bio-based products in the execution of the contract. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted on FBO o/a 21 December 2011 and will close o/a 04 Janaury 2012.
