- SYNOPSIS FOR STEEL W-FLANGE BEAMS DLA Maritime “ Puget Sound is issuing a solicitation and subsequently a Firm Fixed Price Contract for W-Flange Beams in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF, Bremerton, WA 98314. Requirements: CLIN 0001: BEAM, W-FLANGE, W12 X 336#, HIGHER STRENGTH STEEL TO ASTM A992-11, THREE (3) “ 35 FOOT LENGTHS TOTALING 105 LINEAR FEET. Specifications: Ordering Data per ASTM A6/A6M for ASTM A992 Steel Shapes 4.1.1 A992/A992M Specification for Structural Steel Shapes for Use in Building Framing 4.1.2 Name of Product: Shape 4.1.3 W-Flange I-Beam, W12 X 336# 4.1.4 Grade, class and type designation not applicable 4.1.5 As-rolled and heat-treated as required to meet mechanical properties of ASTM A992 4.1.6 Three (3) Beams (105 Feet) 4.1.7 35-foot 4.1.8 Not Applicable 4.1.9 No special heat treatment applies 4.1.10 Grain Structure per para 8.3.2. No special grain size applies 4.1.11 Mechanical Property Test reports ARE required and shall be submitted with the material 4.1.12 No special handling requirements apply 4.1.13 No supplementary requirements apply 4.1.14 No endues special requirements apply 4.1.15 No special requirements apply 4.1.16 no special weld requirements apply Delivery: F.O.B Destination The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 331111 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside and only qualified quoters may submit quotes. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website https://www.neco.navy.mil/. Prospective quoters are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the quoter to access the posted documents. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or faxed. The solicitation shall be posted on or about 19 December 2011 with a response date of on or about 19 January 2011. The buyer will NOT provide a hard copy of the Solicitation package. Quoter must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award can be made to them. If the quoter is not registered in the CCR, it may do so through the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov.
