- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a Firm-Fixed-Price Order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-10-G-0004 for technical manuals associated with the E-2C Hawkeye aircraft AN/APS-145 Radar WRA-9 Radar Pulse Generator Upgrade. The proposed contract action will have a period of performance of 7 months. NAVAIR intends to negotiate this order on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302 with Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), 600 Grumman Road West, Bethpage, New York 11714. NGC is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer and systems integrator of the E-2C aircraft and weapon system and as such is the only firm with the knowldege, experience and technical data necessary to provide the required supplies and services in a timely manner for the purposes of meeting the fleet's operational needs. Interested persons may identify their interest and their capability to respond to the requirement or they may submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.
