- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to provide Maintenance Dredging, Morehead City Harbor, Ocean Bar, Carteret County, North Carolina. The work includes maintenance dredging of the Federal navigation channel reaches including the cutoff and Range A of the Morehead City Harbor. Hopper dredges and mechanical dredges (clamshell, dragline, and dipper) will be allowed to perform the work. Dredging depths are 45' plus 2' of allowable overdepth for Morehead City Harbor. The estimated quantity of unclassified material to be dredged is approximately 1,500,000 cubic yards. Dredged material from Morehead City Harbor is to be placed in Disposal Area No. 2 (nearshore) and Disposal Area No. 1. The environmental window for dredging is 1 January 2011 through 31 March 2012. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Network analysis will not be required. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 20 October 2011. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc) will be provided. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $20,000,000.00. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.
