Description
The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for the construction a new pre-engineered clear span metal building. The work is located at the top of the access road to Blue Mesa Power House, west of the junction of Colorado Highways 50 and 92, and 25 miles west of Gunnison, Colorado. It is anticipated that a Hub-zone set aside in accordance with FAR Part 15 will be conducted due to recent market research suggesting sufficient Hub-zone businesses qualified to successfully perform this requirement. The solicitation is projected to be released sometime in January 2012, but is subject to change. The projected magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The designated NAICS code for this requirement is 236220-Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The principal components of the work involve the following tasks: Provide all equipment, labor, earthwork, compacted gravel base, concrete foundation, and finish materials to construct a new pre-engineered clear span metal building. The pre-engineered building, including doors and window, will be furnished by the Government. Coordinate delivery of Government-furnished items to jobsite with Grant Watson at contact information listed below. Government will supply foundation drawings and details prepared by registered professional engineer for use in constructing foundation. A 42-inch high decorative rock wainscot may be included in Work at Government's option if alternate bid schedule is selected. Wainscot would be placed only on two adjacent sides of building as directed by Curecanti Field Division. Contractor shall perform all work per requirements of Contract Drawings, these Specifications, and the building Manufacturer. Interested potential offerors are encouraged to add themselves to the "Interested Vendors" list for this presolicitation notice. All questions concerning this presolicitation notice should be directed, to Washington Bennett at wbennett@usbr.gov. This is a presolicitation only, and is not a request for bids or offers. This requirement is subject to change at any time and may be cancelled without further notice.
