- The NAVSUP Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD), Contracting Department is announcing its intent to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract in accordance with FAR Part 12 Commercial items, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13. The Government intends to award the proposed contract action to North American Development Group LLC, 6050 Industrial Drive, Missoula, MT 59808-8412. The NAICS code is 331221 and the Small Business size Standard is 1,000 employees. This requirement is unrestricted. Authority is granted under the procedures of the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2) Other Than Full and Open Competition. This requirement is to acquire the following: 1. Proprietary alloy steel 36 X 48 sheet 0.177in untreated annealed state for very high-strain high-hardiness ballistic armor; for left + right sides and shield of robot armor, qty: 8 EA; 2. Proprietary heat treatment for proprietary alloy steel 36 X 48 sheet 0.177in for very high-strain high-hardiness ballistic armor; for left + right sides and shield of robot armor, qty: 8 EA; and 3. Anti-spall jacket set fitted aramid quilted with reinforced corners with nylon cover for vertical armor shield areas, qty: 5. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received within 8 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to or not to compete the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order will be based upon the responses and is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation document exists.
