- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA4877-12-Q-0208 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-54, Defense Circular Number 20111207, Air Force Acquisition Circular 2011-0714. This procurement is being issued as full and open competition under NAICS code 339999 with a size standard of 500 Employees. Short description of the requirement: 0001: Parachute Drop Bag Medium (PDB-SPR/DR-W/HW)(12-MB-0047): This bag can be jumped front or rear mount. Single point and dual point release, with harness attaching hardware. DIMS: 23" x 20" x 12"; Volume: 5520 cu in; Weight: 13.1 lbs; Bag includes: 11-183, Quick release link; MS-70099 snap hook; all single point straps, attaching webbing and hardware. Reversible with neutral color and shoulder straps inside. 5.75" x 9" x 3" canteen/utility pocket. Lowering line storage pocket holds 7' or 15' lowering line. Vertical and horizontal compression straps. Harness attachment straps which can be stowed away. Parachute grade hardware. Sewing on Class VII sewing machine with SecureTack stitching. Sewing inspected by an F.A.A. Certified Master Parachute Rigger. Made from #1000 denier water and abrasion resistant Cordura nylon.
