- The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 541330. The Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to modify contract N63394-06-D-1158 on a sole source basis to extend the period of performance for continuity of material and engineering services in support of the Fire Control System (FCS) Mk 92 program. The contractor is Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems & Sensors, Moorestown, New Jersey. As the Design Agent and sole manufacturer of the Mk 92 Fire Control System (FCS), Lockheed Martin owns and maintains the proprietary data drawing packages, production capability, and system design expertise. The anticipated issuance date for this modification is on or about 28 February 2012. Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
